Welcome to Assembly Christian Fellowship

Welcome to the website of the Assembly Christian Fellowship in Northern Ireland.  The Fellowship brings together Christians who are Members of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA’s), staff who work in the Assembly and believers from across the province and has been born out of a desire to promote prayer for our government, those who make our laws and for our country.   We meet regularly in Stormont to pray as Jesus has taught us and to uplift our legislators and politicians in prayer before God.  It is our earnest prayer that MLA’s from all parties may know Christ in all His fullness and that they may be guided with His wisdom in all decision-making.

In Proverbs 14:34 the Bible says  ‘Righteousness exalteth a nation’.  We are continuing to pray that the will of the Lord be done and that justice and peace, mercy and truth would reign together in Northern Ireland and that all of our people would know in a personal way the Saviour, the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Praying for those in government over us is not an optional extra for the Christian.  In the Bible we are exhorted in 1Timothy 2:2 to pray ‘for all that are in authority; that we might lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty’.

The purpose of the Fellowship is to encourage Church and Community leaders to pray for and to influence others to pray for Northern Ireland and the Assembly.  We are reminded of the promise that God has given to all believers in 2Chronicles 7:14:

‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’

Please join us in praying for all MLA’s and for the healing of this beautiful land through the love of Christ.
